OUR LEGACY.
At Fourbar Ranch, our story is one of deep-rooted tradition and continuous evolution, spanning back to 1896. Nestled in the heart of Loranger, Louisiana, our family farm has been a cornerstone of agricultural life for over 125 years. Originally founded by William H. T. Bankston, Ashley Wilkinson's Great-Great-Grandfather, the land has seen a rich tapestry of farming practices—from dairy and crop farming to beef cattle raising.

Today, Fourbar Ranch proudly carries forward this legacy as a fifth-generation, family-owned farm. While the land has evolved with each generation, the essence of our commitment to quality and respect for the land remains unchanged.

In 2023, Justin Traylor, a seasoned cattleman with a lifetime of experience, joined our legacy as Ashley's fiancé. Raised working on dairy farms and growing beef cattle alongside his dad and four brothers, Justin brings invaluable knowledge and expertise to our operations. His deep understanding of cattle and passion for sustainable farming further enrich our tradition, ensuring that the practices and principles of our ancestors continue to thrive.

A LEGACY TO BUILD ON.
The story of Fourbar Ranch begins in 1896 with William H. T. Bankston, a visionary farmer who established the land that would become the foundation of our family’s agricultural heritage. Originally a dairy and crop farm, this fertile ground in Loranger, Louisiana, was a vital part of the Bankston family’s livelihood. When William H. T. Bankston passed away in 1896, he left the land to his wife, ensuring that his legacy would continue through his family.
GENERATIONAL FARMING
Early Generations: The land was subsequently inherited by his children, including Earl Bankston Sr., who became the second generation to work the property. Earl Bankston Sr. and his descendants continued to cultivate the land, transitioning from dairy and crop farming to raising beef cattle. Each generation built upon the last, adapting to new farming practices while remaining deeply rooted in their respect for the land.

Evolution of Practices: Over the decades, our family’s farming techniques evolved to meet the changing needs of agriculture. Despite these changes, the core values of hard work, dedication, and stewardship of the land remained steadfast. From the early days of dairy farming to the present focus on premium Angus beef, our practices have always reflected a deep respect for the land and a commitment to quality.
CURRENT GENERATION
Modern Operation: The establishment of Fourbar Ranch in 2023 marks a new chapter in our long history. As a fifth-generation, family-owned operation, we honor our past while embracing modern techniques to enhance our farming practices. Our Angus cattle are raised on the same land that our ancestors worked, ensuring that the connection between our family and the land remains strong.
Values and Principles: We continue to uphold the principles of care, respect, and sustainability that were established by our forebears. By integrating these values with contemporary methods, we produce Angus beef that is both a testament to our heritage and a reflection of our commitment to ethical and sustainable farming.
